Old
Business
Work on Lost Trail has been completed by Arrowhead Trails and all invoices have been paid. Volunteers will be needed to install the Adopt A Trail and Creede OHV Club signs.
Jerre Guthals has located a printing company in Alamosa that quoted prices of 500 brochures for a cost of $484 or 1000 brochures for $587. It was agreed that we should request the 1000 Club brochures. Dennis Vincent, of the Forest Service, will handle the cost when he receives his grant.
The trash in and around Ruby Lakes and the Cabin has been cleaned up along with trash on some additional trails.
Jerre Guthals passed out Chain Saw Safety Certificates from the Forest Service to members who were present.
New Business
There was discussion about the current agreement with COHVCO where members of the Creede OHV Club received a discounted $15 membership by joining via the Club. It was agreed that we should continue this arrangement and leave the Club dues at $25 per year. Linda will email the information to members and included a membership form for additions and/or corrections.
The request for a Grant for Trail 518-1C, North Clear Creek, was not successful.
Three club rides and two work days for the month of June were discussed and scheduled as follows:
June 7th - Work day at Fern Creek to install signs
June 11th – Club ride to Ruby Lakes
June 14th – Work day at Lost Trail to install signs – 10AM
June 16th – Club ride to Trail 508-1, lower McKenzie
June 25th – Club ride to Bear Town
Dennis Vincent announced that there would be ATV Safety Classes on June 24th, morning class 9:00 to 12:30 and afternoon class 1:00 to 4:30. An Advanced Class to Stoney Pass will be on June 10th. Contact Dennis at the Forest Service if you are interested. The date and time for the CPR and First Aid Class in Creede will be announced later.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:01.
