OHV Club Meeting July 2007
  
   The Creede OHV Club met July 5, 2007 at the Miner’s Creek Cabin for their monthly meeting. The event was a covered dish supper and was attended by 27 members and friends.

    A short business meeting was held after the great meal. President Jerre Guthals reported that all trails were open and cleared of downed trees. He reported that the counter had been added to the OHV website at http://www.creedeohvclub.com 

Elections for club officers were held. The following officers were elected:

Jerre Guthals, President:

Bill Gattis, Vice-President;

Penny Newman, Secretary;

Linda Martin, Treasurer;

Sarah Garrett, Events Chairman;

Joel Clark, Trail Supervisor.

These officers will serve for a year beginning next meeting.

    Dennis Vincent Forest Service Representative announced that chainsaw Safety courses would be held on July 13 and ATV Rider Safety courses would be free to club members in late July and August. The club members are eligible for these courses since they are Forest Service Volunteers.

    Jerre reported that a COHVCO Workshop will be held July 20-22 and encouraged all members to attend.

    The Creede OHV Club meets each month from April to September and promotes safe riding among enthusiasts. Anyone interested in more information about our club can contact Jerre Guthals at (719) 658-0412.
